The emergency won't wait for the ambulance
When someone collapses in cardiac arrest, survival is measured in minutes. Nationally, average EMS response times run several minutes — and for every minute that passes without CPR, the chance of survival drops sharply. That gap between collapse and the ambulance arriving is where a trained coworker changes the outcome.
That's the entire case for workplace CPR training in one sentence: the person most likely to save a life isn't a paramedic who's still driving over — it's whoever is standing next to the patient.
It's cheaper and simpler than most owners think
Managers often imagine CPR training as a major disruption — sending staff offsite, losing a day, coordinating schedules. With mobile, one-day training, none of that is true. A trainer comes to your location, certifies your team in a single session, and you're done. The cost is small next to the risk of having no one able to respond.
- A trained team responds in seconds, not minutes
- One-day, on-site format means minimal downtime
- Confidence and calm spread to the whole workforce
- Customers and staff notice a workplace that takes safety seriously
Who should be trained?
More people than you'd guess. You don't need everyone certified, but you want enough coverage that a trained person is present on every shift and in every area. Front-desk staff, floor supervisors, and anyone who works alone with the public are good priorities.
