Focused session
A dedicated hour for the neck, jaw, scalp and suboccipitals — for the headaches that come from tissue rather than from something a scan would find.

Not every headache is a migraine, and not every migraine responds to bodywork. But a large share of what people call migraines are cervicogenic or tension-driven — originating in the suboccipitals, the upper trapezius, the jaw and the scalp fascia. That kind responds to hands remarkably well.
Migraine Buster Therapy is an hour spent entirely there, at $165, rather than the ten minutes the neck gets at the end of a general massage.
How it runs
Where it starts, where it travels, what precedes it. A headache that begins at the base of the skull behaves differently from one that begins behind an eye.
Four small muscles at the base of the skull that refer pain straight through the head. Sustained, patient pressure — not fast work.
Clenching drives an enormous share of headache. Temporalis, masseter and the surrounding fascia get real time.
Upper trapezius and levator scapulae hold the head forward all day. Treat those and the neck stops fighting them.

Questions
Bodywork is most effective on cervicogenic and tension-type headache. It can reduce frequency and severity for some migraine sufferers, particularly where neck and jaw tension is a trigger — but it is not a replacement for neurological care.
Between them, generally. During an acute migraine most people cannot tolerate touch or light, and the session is less productive.
Four small muscles at the base of the skull. They refer pain over the top of the head and behind the eyes, and they are the most reliably productive area to treat for tension headache.
Intra-oral work on the jaw is highly effective for clenchers and is used where appropriate and with consent. It is discussed before it happens, never sprung on you.
Weekly or fortnightly at first if headaches are frequent, then stretching out as the pattern breaks. This is one of the treatments where consistency genuinely matters.
It is booked as its own 60-minute session at $165 precisely so the area gets a full hour rather than the last ten minutes of something else.
Screen height, jaw awareness and a nightly two minutes on the suboccipitals do more between visits than anything else. You will leave with the specifics for your pattern.
